How can a city with award-winning water have over 10,000 residents without reliable access to clean water? This is the question at the heart of a community initiative focused on improving water quality for mobile home park residents in Fort Collins who face daily challenges with unreliable water access.
Through extensive research and community outreach, this initiative has uncovered the deep inequalities affecting mobile home park residents, many of whom experience water outages, boil notices, and other disruptions on a regular basis. The project has ignited a passionate drive to raise awareness and advocate for long-term solutions to address these water quality issues.
On Tuesday, April 22nd at 6 PM, the public is invited to Odell Brewing for an evening of community engagement and action. The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Stephanie Daniel from KUNC’s Colorado Dream, live music from Fancy Bits, sponsored by The Bohemian Foundation, and opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about ensuring clean water access for all.
Attendees will enjoy a pint of Odell Beer and dinner from Cheba Hut, with 100% of proceeds benefiting mobile home park residents. The goal is to not only raise awareness but also drive immediate and lasting change in water quality for these residents.
